Hotels & Germaphobia: How to Get Through Your Stay
Being a germaphobic is not easy, in fact, it can interfere with many tasks and situations, like social gatherings, meetings, traveling; you name it!
We have outlined a series of tips to be prepared for any unwanted situations when staying at a hotel.
- Pack your own traveling "keep clean" kit. Shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, toilet paper, lotion, hand sanitizer. Now a day, you can find perfect size bottles for trips and get through airport security with no problems.
- Be ready for showers. Bring your own towel, you will not only be making smaller your environmental footprint, but you will feel more at home with the scent of your own detergent and softener. Do not forget a pair of sandals. Remember you do not want to step in the showers barefoot.
- Buy vinyl gloves, they sell them at most grocery stores, pharmacies, keep some on your luggage, they come in handy when you need to pick up the phone and dial, grab the control remote, or adjust the thermostat in the room. You are in the privacy of your room, so feel free to be yourself!
Most importantly try to calm down, and keep entertain, there is nothing wrong with taking some measures to be comfortable and clean; at the end of the day what matters is that you feel good and are able to get some rest.
Only if you could shake hands while wearing the vinyl gloves. that would be a different and wonderful world.
